Welcome to the Tree House

A modern Swiss Family Robinson house: Marsh View Contracting had the pleasure of constructing what we call a "tree house" in 2023 on Fripp Island, SC. Originating from a premanufactured kit carefully designed and cut by Topsider Homes. We constructed a 900 sq.' home for our Lowcountry clients after the panels and beams were shipped to the building site. Topsider pedestal homes were the first commercially available in the world – with literally thousands built since 1968. Their "unique octagonal pedestal foundation and house geometry, together with our post and beam building system make these houses ideal for severely sloping terrain and for coastal building sites where homes must be elevated for protection against flooding and storm surge."
